Goodnews Bay System Upgrades

AVEC’s awarded grant from Rural Utilities Service has been used to install transformers, 480V engine control panels, 480V switchgear and power plant grounding, and complete other work associated with the three-phase upgrade.  Also being installed is the new generator and exhaust manifolds.  The AVEC staff is also planning on constructing a new power plant deck and installing the recovered heat exchanger and radiators on the deck.  The upgrades are to be completed by the end of 2024.
