Suspending Late Fees and DisconnectsPosted: April 14, 2020
In light of the significant impact the COVID-19 pandemic is having on our communities, AVEC is temporarily suspending late fees and disconnects for non-payment for all accounts through April 30, 2020. This temporary moratorium on disconnections does not relieve a member’s obligation to pay their electric bills. Late fees and non-pay disconnections will resume May 1 for all consumers unless a request is made for deferral due to specific financial hardship.
If you are a residential consumer having difficulty making payments due to financial hardships caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, please contact us to request a Deferred Payment Arrangement (DPA). Forms are available by request and are also posted on our website.
How to set up a Deferred Payment Arrangement:
