Job Opening: Customer Service/Utility Billing Representative
FLSA: NON EXEMPT
Location: Bethel, AK
Schedule: M-F, 8:30am-5:30pm
Travel: less than 10%
Alaska Village Electric Cooperative, Inc., a generation and distribution utility serving 58 villages in Alaska, is seeking a new team member for our Member Services Department in Bethel, AK. This position will provide efficient, accurate, and courteous service to members, employees and the general public while adhering to Alaska Village Electric Cooperative’s polices, bylaws, and procedures. Work will vary from accounts receivable and payment processing, answer incoming phone calls, member billing and account management, remote metering for electric billing, monthly collections activities for past due accounts, annual meeting planning, coordinating and facilitation, and assisting with aspects of patronage capital administration and support.
Education Requirements: High School Diploma (or equivalent)
Entry Level 1-3 years of similar experience in Accounts Receivable, Customer Service, and/or Utility Billing.
Member Services Rep I 3-5 years of similarly complex work experience in Accounts Receivable, Customer Service, and/or Utility Billing.
